Even if you are a regular rider on the continent, it still pays to take things easy and concentrate even harder for the first few miles as you will be on the ‘wrong’ side of the road. You will need to adjust to a different pace and styles of driving to the one you are used to, as well as varying speed limits that are different to the UK.

Planning Your Route UK

You can reach your destination by motorcycle with the help of Google maps to give you a detailed route for your journey. 



Alternatively, you can use GPS co-ordinates, using devices such as Garmin, TomTom and Navman. I still use my Tom Tom Rider 2nd Edition which I've had for many years and is still working well. Updating your device often is recommended as places and routes are changing all the time.
