To keep the important legal documents you are carrying safe, you should make an investment in a lockable box or case, (A fireproof safe or briefcase would be even better) and carry your client's documents in this safe box or briefcase at all times. Your good reputation rests on the fact that legal documents are always safe in your hands!
You will also need to prepare for a lot of traveling, so make sure that you invest in a reliable, comfortable, vehicle that is economical on gas. You will probably be spending at least half of your work hours in this vehicle. Keeping the paperwork in a trunk, or even in a locked safe placed within the trunk, is probably a good idea too.
This is also a type of business that would be good to carry business cards with you. You will meet a lot of potential clients in your daily routine, so having a ready supply of business cards will make it easier for them to hire you for your services! You should also dress professionally since you will be frequenting lawyers' offices and courthouses. If you want people to take you seriously, you need to dress and act the part. There are many people in the judicial system that would love a courier to work for them, and if you are dependable and punctual, this could be a very easy and rewarding job for you!
